Joey Essex threw an almighty strop on the set of Love Island before being dumped

Joey Essex has narrowly missed out on the Love Island final as he and partner Jessy Potts were the last couple to be dumped from the show before Monday (29 July) evening's finale.The reality star, 34, was left less than impressed with the dumping, which was carried out by his former co-stars, who all returned to the villa to have their say on which couple wouldn't make it to the final.

As the former islanders began to vote, it was clear that many were gunning for Joey and Jessy - with the latter saying she wished "Joey didn't p*** that many people off so they could come back and kick us out".

While Joey was clearly unimpressed with the results, as the former TOWIE star said 'laters' while walking away from the firepit.

During the dumping, Patsy Field, Hugo Godfrey and Reuben Collins were amongst the first to vote for Joey and Jessy, with Reuben claiming that Joey had 'embarrassed' Jessy in certain situations, while Patsy dubbed the reality star a 'gameplayer'.There was no love lost between Joey and his former flame Samantha Kenny either, as she voted for the pair to be dumped - which started a fiery exchange between her and Joey about their own relationship.
