Joey Essex shares gruesome injury after 'slicing finger' days into Dancing on Ice training

Joey Essex has been left with a gruesome injury just two days into his Dancing On Ice training. Joey, 32, was announced to be hitting the ice last week, with the popular skating show returning to screens in the New Year.

Revealing the news on This Morning, Joey said: "I would love to win. I’m going to put all my energy into this.This stage in my life, I’m so ready for this." Talking about receiving comments from the judges, he added: "I’m doing it for me.

I want to impress the judges but I want to impress myself. I’m going to put all my effort into this." Joey’s since sliced his finger open during training, but it appears as if it hasn’t affected the TV star’s excitement.

Sharing a selfie as he held up his bandaged finger, the 32 year old wrote: “Respect the ice, otherwise the ice will not respect you… Day 2”.
