Joel Dommett in tears ahead of I'm A Celebrity as fans say they just want to give him 'a hug'

I’m A Celebrity returned on Sunday 17 November for its 2024 series and already had fans in hysterics over podcaster GK Barry’s dramatic reaction to trials, Tulisa replicating her iconic X Factor Female Boss stance and Ant and Dec Wagatha Christie jokes.

Now, for the second episode airing tonight, Monday 18 November it seems things get more emotional than funny. Presenter Joel Dommett, who was runner up in the 2016 series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, took to Instagram in floods of tears telling fans tonight’s episode is “very emotional”.

As his eyes welled up, Joel said: “It's a very emotional episode this evening on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. Erm, you’re going to love it.

It’s absolutely amazing. What a show. I think I miss my family.” Fans were quick to comment their shock at how the episode had left him in tears.
