ok.co.ukFitness sensation Joe Wicks has defended his decision to remove his eldest child, five year old daughter Indie, from school, just one year after she started.The 37 year old influencer, was inundated with comments and questions when he announced last month that Indie would not be returning to school, despite having completed a year in reception.
Now, in a new interview, Joe has opened up about the decision and revealed that he simply wants to spend more time with his children, with him also dad to Marley, three, and Leni, 11 months. “I just love being with my kids,” he told The Times. “It's not a permanent thing, but we want to have another year together.” “It's not like I'm saying, I'm going to home school my kids and go and live on a farm in the middle of nowhere.
It's really just about our lifestyle [now]” he added, before arguing that in many European countries kids don't even start school until they are seven anyway.
By contrast, here in the UK, most children typically start formal education in the first September after their fourth birthday.
