James, 42, took to his Instagram account on Thursday evening to share the tragic news that his father Alan has an incurable tumor.

He shared a video of Alan cuddling his newborn daughter Ella as he revealed his heartbreak. Joe, 38, said it was "good to see your dad better" in the comments section, which left James' followers baffled.

Many accused the former EastEnders actor of not reading the caption properly as they pointed out how ill Alan is. James revealed that his dad had been in and out of hospital for the last few months.
