Joe Swash's EastEnders star sister Shana Swash has opened up on her relationship with her older brother and revealed that his latest TV appearance left her feeling “really sad”.The 32 year old Eastenders star said that Joe’s stint on this year's I’m A Celebrity…South Africa was difficult to watch as it reminded her of their dad who sadly passed away when they were both children.

During Joe’s second time on the show, he broke down about how much he missed his wife Stacey Solomon and their young children and as he said at the time: “I’m really missing my kids… I don’t know how to get rid of the feeling.” He added: “I was a different person the first time (I did I’m A Celeb). This time there’s so much at home waiting for me.

Everyone wants to do their family proud and I want to do the same.” Speaking to Express Shana explained that she found it difficult watching her brother break down as she revealed: “It’s really hard when you see Joe getting emotional on telly like that, because you can't get up and give him a cuddle and say it’s all okay. “So it is really difficult watching those moments, but I suppose they are moments that you probably wouldn't see sometimes, because you need to be in a certain scenario, in a certain place, to be able to have those emotions.” She continued and said when I’m A Celeb showed clips from when Joe was first in the jungle, she got emotional as he “looked just like” their late dad.

Joes sister then added: “So for us, we prefer seeing him do the silly things and the stuff that makes us laugh, rather than the emotional side of it.” Their dad sadly passed away after he had been living with an undiagnosed heart condition called Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS).
