Joseph Adam Jonas (born August 15, 1989) is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He rose to fame as a member of the pop rock band the Jonas Brothers, alongside his brothers Kevin and Nick. The group released their debut studio album It's About Time through the Columbia label in 2006, which failed to achieve commercial success. Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are being ordered to start a four-day mediation today (October 4).

If you don’t know, there has been some issues over the 27-year-old actress and 34-year-old singer’s path to separation. Keep reading to find out more… After Joe filed divorce documents in early September, Sophie ended up serving her estranged husband a lawsuit for the return of their two children – Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1, – back to the UK. Sophie alleged that Joe would not turn over their passports, and also alleged they agreed to make England their forever home before the divorce filing was initiated. Joe then responded to the lawsuit, saying he did not abduct their kids by any means.

They then agreed to keep the children in New York City while all the details of custody could be worked out. On Tuesday (October 3), Joe and Sophie‘s lawyers went before a judge in a Manhattan court room to try and set a trial date for custody proceedings to begin. Sophie‘s team asked the judge to consider a trial as soon as possible, as she has a work commitment beginning in January 2024. Joe‘s team requested a trial starting in the new year, after a bulk of his Jonas Brothers tour dates are complete.

Ultimately, the judge, Judge Katherine Polk Failla, sided with Joe‘s team and set a court hearing date for January 2, 2024. Joe hopes their divorce and custody trial can be heard in the US, while Sophie wants to bring it to England.
