Joe Jonas files for divorce from Sophie Turner - says marriage is 'irretrievably broken'

Singer Joe Jonas and actor Sophie Turner have ended their marriage after four years together as Joe filed the divorce papers on Tuesday 5 September.

Jonas Brothers star Joe, 34, and Game of Thrones actress Sophie, 27, tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2019 after meeting in 2016, and have gone on to welcome two daughters together.They share three year old Willa and their one year old, whose name the couple haven’t confirmed, but is listed as “D.J.” in the court documents.

The Jonas Brothers singer stated that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken”, according to E! News. Joe has also reportedly asked for “shared parental responsibility” over their two daughters, and said a “parenting plan should be established”.

The split comes after rumours claimed the duo’s marriage was on the rocks, and fans had been picking up on ‘signs’ that the couple had parted ways.The couple only recently celebrated Joe’s 34th birthday last month when Sophie shared a sweet snap of the duo in green striped pyjamas, which she captioned: “Happy Birthday handsome”.The Game Of Thrones actress was also recently seen supporting Joe as his band, the Jonas Brothers, as they started their Five Albums.
