The “faith-based” network is controversial to some because Candace Cameron Bure—chief creative officer at Great American Media and Sweetin’s former costar—told the press that the channel would keep “traditional marriage” in its programming, which was seen by many as a not-so-subtle way to say “no LGBTQ+ representation here!”As Jodie Sweetin considers herself an ally to the queer community, she said she was “disappointed” to find out that her movie, Craft Me a Romance, would be airing on the network and further promised that “in keeping with my mission of supporting the LGBTQ+ family, any potential or future money made from this sale will be donated to LGBTQ+ organizations,” . (We’re assuming she means her earnings from the sale and future income from the project, since she can’t really promise that other people will donate too.)This isn’t the first time the middle Tanner daughter has spoken up in support of the LGBTQ+ community.
