The trailer, which was released on Monday (July 10), stars Joaquin Phoenix as the legendary French commander as he begins climbing the ranks to become emperor. The film captures Napoleon’s famous battles, relentless ambition and astounding strategic mind as an extraordinary military leader and war visionary.” Napoleon reunites Joaquin with director Ridley Scott, who he previously worked with on Gladiator.
The film also stars Vanessa Kirby as Empress Joséphine. The movie is set to premiere exclusively in theaters this Thanksgiving weekend on Nov.
