The 46 year old actress became a national treasure when she portrayed the role of Stacey Shipman on the BBC sitcom, that saw 20 episodes aired over three series from 2007 to 2010.There was also a Christmas Special in 2019, which fans went wild for.
That episode ended with a huge cliffhanger as fan-favourite character Nessa (Ruth Jones) proposed to Smithy (James Corden), so there could be room for a new special, and it's rumoured that it will happen at Christmas in 2024.
Deadline has reported that the show is set to make its highly-anticipated return, and said the new episode is currently in pre-production, with filming scheduled for this summer.
It's thought that the majority of the show's cast will make a return to their roles, including Gavin and Stacey, played by Matthew Horne and Joanna Page respectively.
