Joanna Gaines' mother was left in tears after reading the manuscript of her daughter's new memoir The Stories We Tell.During an appearance on Today, Joanna, 44, revealed her mother Nan Stevens called her crying 'every five seconds' over the book after she was given a manuscript of the new tell-all. 'When the manuscript was finished, I printed it out and I wanted her to be the first person to read it,' Gaines recalled. 'Every five seconds she'd call, "I'm crying!"' Gaines also revealed how her Korean mother would respond to racist remarks hurled her way.'When we were in the grocery store, I mean numerous times, people would say and she would just act like she didn't hear,' she recalled.
