Sevilla have reportedly turned down an initial approach from Rangers for Joan Jordan - and the misfit could be set to dig in his heels over a potential exit.
The two-time Europa League winner would has been deemed surplus to requirements by the La Liga side going into the new season after five years at the club - with Philippe Clement and Ibrox director of football recruitment said to be among the admirers of the 30-year-old as Sevilla attempt to move him on.
Reports suggest that an offer to cover 30 per cent of Jordan's wages to seal a loan have been rebuffed - with the club still open to allowing the player to leave.
