Eddie Van Halen's death from cancer at the age of 65 has shaken up Hollywood and the music industry, with numerous stars quickly taking to social media to pay tribute to the legendary guitarist.
Valerie Bertinelli, who was married to Van Halen from 1981-2007, replied to their son's tweet announcing the news of Van Halen's death with a series of images of broken hearts.
Jimmy Kimmel, Dane Cook and Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx were among those who took time to remember Van Halen. Kimmel recalled how he spent "two of the best hours of [his] life" talking to Van Halen and remembered him as not only a "great musician" but also a "funny and lovely guy who will be missed terribly," he tweeted, sending his love to Van Halen's family.
