Rock star Nick Cave's fashion model son Jethro Lazenby has died at the age of 31, it has been confirmed. Whilst a cause of death has not been confirmed, it came just two days after he was released from prison in Melbourne, Australia, after he was jailed for assaulting his mother.
In a statement, Mr Cave said: "With much sadness, I can confirm that my son, Jethro, has passed away. "We would be grateful for family privacy at this time." Australian singer, Nick Cave, was best known as the frontman of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
The sad news comes seven years after rock star Nick's other son Arthur died age 15 following a tragic cliff fall. Jethro was jailed in April after launching a brutal attack on his mother, Beau Lazenby, on March 7.
Troubled Jethro admitted the attack via video link at Melbourne Magistrates' Court, in which the court heard he violently assaulted her by repeatedly kneeing her in the face "causing bleeding and bruising", after she refused to buy him cigarettes the morning after letting him stay at her Melbourne home.
