In response to the growing popularity of Turkey with UK tourists, Jet2 has confirmed they will bring forward the start of the summer '23 season to Dalaman and Izmir.
The budget airline and tour operator will start flying to Dalaman from March 17 next year, as there is a "huge demand" for the destination among UK holidaymakers.
Flights to the holiday hotspot for the summer '22 season have been operating since April 15.From April 2, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate multiple weekly flights to the Turkish town from Glasgow, as well as five other UK locations from the following dates in March - Birmingham (March 17), Bristol (March 17), Leeds Bradford (March 20), Manchester (March 17) and London Stansted (March 17).
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Dalaman and Izmir are both enormously popular with customers and there is huge demand for both destinations and not just during the peak summer season.
