Jet2 has warned passengers travelling to the Spanish hotspot of Alicante in the coming months of ‘potential congestion’ at the airport as ground handling staff go on strike.
The walkouts are supported by the security service at Alicante airport, meaning holidaymakers could face longer waits than usual.
The walkouts are only taking place for two hours on strike days. However, strikes have been announced for dozens of dates from September to January 2024.
The airline has released a list of all the dates affected, so travellers can check in advance of their holiday. In a statement on its website, Jet2 said: “We wanted to let you know that a Ground Handling strike action is taking place on the following dates listed below.
