Holidaymakers returning on a Jet2 flight back to the UK from Gran Canaria were forced to touch down in Portugal due to a disruptive passenger.
The plane, due to land at Newcastle Airport, was diverted to Porto 1,100 miles away so that the troublesome flyer could be removed from the aircraft.
Flight number LS542 departed at 9.30pm on Sunday May 15 and had been due to arrive back in Newcastle at roughly 2am, the Mirror reports.
However, the the Mirror reports had to make to the unscheduled stop due to the due to the airline's "zero-tolerance" approach to disruptive customers, according to the Mirror.
