Jesy Nelson sent ‘back to the drawing board’ as she works ‘incredibly hard’ on debut solo album

Jesy Nelson has reportedly been sent ‘back to the drawing board’ as she continues working on new music.The former Little Mix star, 30, had been in Los Angeles preparing tracks for her solo album, her first since leaving the girl group.Boyz singer Jesy released her debut single in October last year, which fared well on the charts despite being mired in controversy over alleged ‘Blackfishing’, which Jesy has vehemently denied.Jesy has been keeping fans updated as she worked on new tracks in LA, however it doesn’t seem like a release could be coming any time soon.The star is reported to have been sent ‘back to the drawing board’ after showing music execs early versions of new tracks.While bosses ‘felt sure there was potential there…they felt the tracks would benefit’ from further work, a source told The Sun.They added Jesy has ‘worked incredibly hard on her solo music’ and is working diligently to rework the early versions.‘She is determined to only play them the new music when it’s perfect, so they haven’t heard any more since then,’ the source claimed.The Sun’s source continued there are ‘high hopes’ for Jesy’s debut album ‘when it is finally complete,’ however there is no release date as of yet.A source told Metro.co.uk however, that Jesy did not send the label ‘early versions of the album,’ rather they were ‘demos which she played record labels last year before she signed.’Continuing, the source said Jes has returned from LA with new tracks which the label is yet to hear.‘No one knows which songs will make the final cut,’ they said.‘Jesy is still working on the music, so it doesn’t make sense for label bosses to pencil a release date until she’s finished.’Jesy’s team had previously denied that her debut album had been.
