Jessica Simpson's bestselling memoir Open Book is headed to small screens. The book is being turned into a Freevee series starring John Stamos, 59, and Katelyn Tarver, 32, according to The Hollywood Reporter.Tarver will play pop star Sadie Sparrow while Stamos stars opposite as the singer-songwriter she develops a connection with.

Jessica Simpson's memoir Open Book is being turned into a Freevee series The series has been given a pilot order by Amazon's ad-supported streamer Freevee and has been billed as 'a propulsive, music-soaked coming-of-age story.' 'The show follows pop star Sadie Sparrow (Tarver) from her mid-20s rise from ingenue to mogul, introducing viewers to the family, friends and lovers she collects along the way,' writes THR. 'The comedy is expected to touch on themes of love, friendship, divorce, family and sisterhood, relationships, soul connections, Hollywood and the music business as it follows Sadie's unexpected journey as she ultimately comes to embrace herself and the fact that her heart inevitably wants what it wants at every stage of life.'Stamos will star opposite Tarver as Butch Thorn, a divorced former singer/songwriter grappling with alcoholism and self-destructive proclivities.
