‘Jeopardy!’ responds to contestants’ fury over unpaid travel expenses

The change will take effect on Sept. 11, when Season 40 of “Jeopardy!” premieres.“This is something we’ve been working on ever since I really took the reins of the show … We understand how complicated funding a trip to ‘Jeopardy!’ is for many contestants within our community,” Davies said.“Jeopardy!” has also faced questions in recent weeks about whether Ken Jennings will continue to serve as the show’s host during the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
