Jensen Ackles Secures Starring Role in Prime Video Series 'Countdown'
justjared.comJensen Ackles has lined up his next big starring role. The 46-year-old Supernatural alum is set to star in a new Prime Video series called Countdown.
Details about his role and the project have been revealed. Keep reading to find out more… Jensen is set to play Los Angeles Police Department officer Mark Meachum in the 13-episode thriller, according to TVLine.
Mark becomes part of an elite secret task force to try and find the source of a murder. “But as the truth of a more sinister plot comes into focus the team must overcome their conflicting personal agendas to unite and save a city of millions,” according to the log line. “I had an incredible experience working with the Prime Video team on The Boys and am delighted to be able to continue that relationship on Countdown,” Jensen gushed about the opportunity in a statement.
He continued, shouting out executive producer and showrunner Derek Haas. “I simply cannot wait to partner with Derek and the rest of our Countdown family to bring this story to life.” This is the second big role that Jensen has lined up in recent weeks.
