Jenny Powell underwent a transformative hysterectomy four months ago, following years of battling escalating symptoms.The 56 year old former Wheel of Fortune presenter had sought help from various doctors to manage her symptoms, which included heavy bleeding, constipation and pelvic congestion.
After finally receiving an accurate diagnosis - revealing that her uterus had grown to the size of a 16-week pregnancy - she chose a robotic hysterectomy to alleviate her discomfort.
Speaking to OK!, Jenny emphasises one of her key takeaways: women's health needs to be prioritised much more, telling us: "I eventually had an MRI and they told me that my uterus was the size as if I was about 16 weeks pregnant.
I had fibroids, adenomyosis and full-on pelvic congestion." She adds, "It was so big it was pressing on my intestines, on my bladder, on my kidneys.
