We were together for about 10 years, and then when we got divorced, I got a piece of ‘The Simpsons’ in the divorce settlement.”“Nobody knew that ‘The Simpsons’ was going to go on for trillions of years,” she teased with a laugh. “Honestly, every day, I’m like, ‘Thank you Sam!'”Tilly and Simon were married from 1984 to 1991 with “The Simpsons” debuting on Fox in 1989.
Simon died in 2015 from colon cancer at age 59. Tilly joined the franchise as “a friend of” for Season 14 alongside Bozoma “Boz” Saint John.The “Chucky ” alum spoke to Vulture ahead of the season premiere, telling the outlet that she had “always been a superfan” of the reality show and was looking forward to stepping into her new role.But Tilly also admitted it isn’t as glamorous as she thought it would be.
As for what surprised the star the most?“I remember I was like, ‘I live in Beverly Hills, and it’d be kind of fun to see Beverly Hills through the lens of really rich people,’” Tilly explained. “I thought that I was going to see a lot of people shopping on Rodeo Drive, but a lot of the filming that they do is in the Valley, in places where it’s easier to get permits.
