Jennifer Lopez just got a full fringe for summer, so now we're all about to get full fringes for summer. The 53 year old is known for her ultra-lengthy, caramel-coloured locks – often styled into bombshell waves – and now she's giving that trademark look a bit of a new-season update thanks to the fringe.

Not perfectly practical for the heatwave we're having, but maybe it's cooler over in L.A. Posting the transformation to her Instagram grid, JLo captions the selfie: "Bang bang #ThisIsMeNow @jlobeauty @hairbylorenzomartin" The mum-of-two looks gorgeous as she poses for the snap with her banging new hair addition.

Her make-up also looks incredible with plenty of dewy, rosy emphasis on her lips and cheeks. In fact, JLo looks so youthful in the snap, we'd say she's barely aged a day since she last wore her hair in a fringe style like this one.

When was that, you wonder? In 2009 when the star was filming the movie The Back-up Plan. Back then she also had a thick fringe, dark bronde tresses and plenty of volume-boosting layers.
