A Met beauty! Jennifer Lopez brought the glamour to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute’s annual benefit.The “Let’s Get Loud” songstress, 53, wowed in a Ralph Lauren velvet halter gown at the Monday, May 1, event.
The fundraiser — which is officially titled “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” — celebrates the legacy of iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who died in 2019 at the age of 85.
Lopez, who attended the gala without husband Ben Affleck, honored the late designer with a handmade black and pastel pink number that featured a draped skirt and feather collar.
She accessorized the ensemble with elbow-length gloves, a pillbox hat and pink clutch.While walking the red carpet at Monday’s event, the Main in Manhattan star gushed over the late designer’s legacy.“I hate throwing around the word iconic because everyone uses it, but he actually was such an iconic figure in fashion,” she told Vogue correspondent Lala Anthony. “When you think of the last 50 years,*you think of five people in fashion.
