Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. While most couples use a lawyer for divorce proceedings, Jennifer is said to have filed documents herself, listing the date as Tuesday 20 August, 2024.The music megastar lists the date of hers and Ben's separation as 26 April.

Although they tied the knot on 16 July, 2022, the couple had a lavish and traditional wedding on August 20, 2022, exactly two years before Jennifer filed for divorce.

It's reported by TMZ that the documents do not say whether there is a prenup in place for Bennifer, but sources allege that the couple did not sign one when they said "I do." If there is no prenuptial agreement in place, it would mean that any earnings the former couple have made would be community property, according to the US outlet.

Since they married, Jennifer has appeared in Shotgun Wedding, The Mother, This Is Me... Now and Atlas. Ben, however, has also appeared in Air and Hypnotic, while also directing Air and producing The Instigators, reports the Mirror.The documents state that Jennifer has given up spousal support and has also asked the divorce judge to deny Ben the same support.
