Variety is reporting that the engaged couple are working with JPMorgan Chase to raise the capital to make a bid for the sports team.
The outlet reports that they’re working with managing director Eric Menell, the bank’s co-head of North American media investment banking.
The New York Mets is currently owned by the Wilpon family and they were in talks to sell 80% of the team back in December and the sale would’ve valued the team at $2.6 billion.
