Jennette McCurdy Says Nickelodeon Offered Her $300,000 as 'Hush Money'

Jennette McCurdy is speaking out. The 30-year-old iCarly star opened up in her new memoir I’m Glad My Mom Died, out on August 12, about working at Nickelodeon as a teenager.

She said she rejected the offer, and also said she was encouraged to drink alcohol at work while still underage, and was photographed in a bikini at a wardrobe fitting.

She referred to the person responsible as “The Creator,” but did not expressly identify them by name. “The Creator” reportedly also massaged her shoulders in an inappropriate manner, via Variety, writing: “My shoulders do have a lot of knots in them, but I don’t want The Creator to be the one rubbing them out.
