A Single White Female remake is moving at Sony and 3000 Pictures with Wednesday star Jenna Ortega and Taylor Russell (Bones and All) in talks to star.
There’s no word on who might direct the remake, which was first reported on in The Insneider. We understand the film is in the very early stages of development.
The original Single White Female was directed by Barbet Schroeder and starred Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bridget Fonda. In the film, Fonda starred as Allison “Allie” Jones, a software designer living in New York City, who advertises for a roommate after she discovers her live-in fiance has been cheating on her.
She soon finds something very strange is going on with the tenant (Leigh) who decides to move in. Sony’s Columbia Pictures distributed the original, which grossed $48 million domestically.
