Jeezy to Exit Def Jam, Announces Double Album ‘I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget’

Steven J. Horowitz Senior Music Writer After nearly two decades at Def Jam, Jeezy has announced his departure from the label along with news that an independent double album will be arriving later this week through his CTE New World imprint.

The Atlanta native revealed that the album will be titled “I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget,” and will be out on Nov. 3. “I Might Forgive” is set to include production from Ricky Polo, ATL Jacob, Cubeatz, Hendrix and more, while “But I Don’t Forget” will be entirely helmed by production collective J.U.S.T.I.C.E.

League. Jeezy has had a long history working with the latter team, collaborating for his 2005 debut “Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101” and numerous follow-up projects.

Jeezy’s departure from Def Jam marks a turning point for the rap vet, whose first studio album was released via Def Jam South.
