The lawsuit against Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs has been dropped. If you were unaware, an unidentified Jane Doe filed a sexual assault suit against the two rappers in December 2024, claiming that they had raped her when she was 13-years-old back in 2000. Jay-Z, 55, then released a lengthy statement in which he denied the allegations and slammed the lawyer who filed them.
On Friday (February 14), the lawyers representing the woman filed to dismiss the suit, Variety reports. Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, has now released a statement reacting to the news. The fictional tale they created was laughable, if not for the seriousness of the claims. I would not wish this experience on anyone.
The trauma that my wife, my children, loved ones and I have endured can never be dismissed.” He continued, “This 1-800 lawyer gets to file a suit hiding behind Jane Doe, and when they quickly realize that the money grab is going to fail, they get to walk away with no repercussions.
