Jaws 2 child star Marc Gilpin dies at 56 after cancer battle
ok.co.ukFormer child star Marc Gilpin, who starred as Sean Brody in the Jaws sequel, Jaws 2, has died aged 56. His sister, Frasier actress Peri Gilpin, announced the tragic news, saying her brother passed away in Dallas on Saturday, 29 July – according to the Hollywood Reporter.The actor had been battling glioblastoma, a fast-growing and aggressive brain tumour.
Marc played the younger son of Roy Scheider's police chief Martin Brody in the 1978 film. He beat hundreds of other boys to play the part, and was 11 years old when it reached cinemas.
A year later he guest-starred in TV series CHiPS and also appeared on Fantasy Island.
