Jason Manford has admitted to have 'no idea' how his latest role has been kept a secret as it was revealed he's joining the cast of Waterloo Road.
The comedian and actor will join the rebooted BBC One drama when it returns for its next series later this year. It has been confirmed he will play Steve Savage, who has a big impact on the staff and pupils at Waterloo Road when he becomes headteacher - but not before ruffling a few feathers along the way.
While Jason's new role as headteacher will leave fans questioning how the future looks for current headteacher Kim Campbell, played by Angela Griffin, the BBC has said viewers will have to wait and see how the storyline plays out.
