Janey Godley is recovering in hospital after her major operation to remove a tumour. The Scots comedian was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last November, but had her operation delayed by seven weeks after contracting coronavirus.
The 60-year-old has been sharing her health journey on social media, with her daughter Ashley Storrie, helping update followers while she was in surgery.
In the latest update, her daughter confirmed that she was sounding 'stronger' after the operation, but was feeling 'sore' and a 'wee bit overwhelmed'.
Sharing a selfie of her mum in hospital, she wrote: "Hello friends, @ashleystorrie here again. "Have spoken to mum this morning, she’s sore and feeling a wee bit overwhelmed but has been showered, moved about a bit and had some lunch. "She sounds much stronger.
