Janey Godley says she is launching her own political party after former First Minister Alex Salmond announcing that he is launching pro- Independence party Alba.

Janey who has been the unofficial voiceover of Nicola Sturgeon's coronavirus briefings throughout the pandemic announced her intentions in a video on her Twitter channel.

She told followers: "I'm launching my own political party. It's called the 'Lets Be Frank' party."There's going to be no more bunting, there'll be nae bunting, nae flags."There's going to be free soup every Thursday.
