Janet (Langner) DeLorenzo, who worked in daily syndicated television for more than 30 years, died on December 30. DeLorenzo was 63 and no cause or location was given DeLorenzo started her career as an intern in the early days of The Oprah Winfrey Show at ABC affiliate WLS in Chicago.
One of the first employees at the daytime show, she worked in several positions, each with increasing responsibility, for her 21 years at Harpo Productions, eventually serving as senior manager, affiliate relations.
Following her tenure there, DeLorenzo helped launch NBCU/Endemol’s Steve Harvey daytime show in Chicago as director, affiliate relations and promotion, and served in the role for five years.
She then became affiliate relations director for Pickler & Ben for the entirety of its two-season run, and most recently she served as the director of affiliate marketing in a contract position for The Tamron Hall Show.
