Justin Timberlake

Justin Randall Timberlake (born January 31, 1981), occasionally known by his initials JT, is an American singer, songwriter, actor, dancer, and record producer.

Raised in Tennessee, he appeared on the television shows Star Search and The All-New Mickey Mouse Club as a child. In the late 1990s, Timberlake rose to prominence as one of the two lead vocalists and youngest member of NSYNC, which eventually became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time.

Timberlake began to adopt a more mature image as an artist with the release of his debut solo album, the R&B-focused Justified (2002), which yielded the successful singles "Cry Me a River" and "Rock Your Body", and earned his first two Grammy Awards.

Janet Jackson is addressing her infamous 2004 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance with Justin Timberlake.

In her A&E and Lifetime docuseries, Janet, the 55-year-old entertainer opened up about the performance and set the record straight on where she stands with Justin, 40, almost 18 years after the incident. Janet went on to say that she and Justin are close friends today, and that they put that incident behind them a long time ago. “Justin and I are very good friends, and we will always be very good friends,” Janet said. “We spoke just a few days ago.

He and I have moved on, and it’s time for everyone else to do the same.” After the situation aired live on TV, Justin‘s record sales spiked, while Janet was essentially blacklisted from the industry, with her music being removed from radio stations and TV channels.

Later in the documentary, Janet recalled to brother Randy Jackson that Justin asked her at the time if he should speak out publicly amid the backlash.
