Jamie Carragher says Paul Pogba should be “embarrassed” if he can’t consistently show the best of himself under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

And the Liverpool legend, in backing the Manchester United boss, has insisted that if he was at the Old Trafford helm, he would cash in on the Frenchman in January.

Pogba has once more divided opinion in the opening months of the 2020-21 campaign. On Saturday, he was only a substitute as United rolled to a 3-1 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.

The World Cup winner, 27, has made 11 appearances in all competitions thus far, totalling 527 minutes. The only matches in which he has played the full 90’ have been the embarrassing 6-1 defeat by Spurs and the 1-0 loss to Arsenal.
