Jamie Carragher details why Man City striker Erling Haaland will not replicate Harry Kane

Jamie Carragher predicts Erling Haaland’s career progression will take a different path to that of Harry Kane's. The Norway sensation has already reached double figures for the campaign after his goal in Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday.

Many are predicting him to go on to be a Premier League great. Kane has already reached that status and is closing in on the all-time scoring record.

The Tottenham striker has had to adapt his game over the years, dropping deeper to spread the ball before running on to fire home.

Some believe Haaland may end up beating Kane’s final goal tally if he stays in England for long enough. With comparisons between the two already being made, Carragher pointed out that Haaland’s development is likely to be different to that Kane has experienced.
