James Nesbitt has just played his most chilling role ever, as a police officer on the star’s home turf of Northern Ireland. The Lord Of The Rings star said filming left him so paralysed with cold that he could sometimes hardly speak.
BBC1 thriller Bloodlands is set in Belfast and comes from the maker of Line of Duty and Bodyguard, Jed Mercurio. James, 56, who was born near Ballymena, Co Antrim, told the Mirror: “It was incredibly cold, particularly when we went down to Strangford Lough. “We’d transport crew, equipment, food, toilets, to these remote islands and it was bitterly cold, the wind really cuts you. “At times it was hard to speak.
