James Milner has joked that he's never wanted to previously see red on the Premier League trophy because it meant Manchester United had won the title.
The 34-year-old won the third league title of his career but a first since moving to Anfield. Liverpool ended a thirty year wait for a top flight title this term and were finally presented with the trophy after they'd beaten Chelsea 5-3.
It sparked wild celebrations and Milner can be heard joking about the red ribbons draped on the trophy. He said: “First time I ever wanted a red ribbon.
It’s always been United before. F*cking w*nkers” Milner was born in Yorkshire and burst onto the scene at Leeds - the club he supported as a boy and who have a fierce rivalry with the Red Devils - in 2002.
