British chef and TV star James Martin has dished out a savvy yet straightforward tip for saving time during the busy festive season, especially when rustling up a decadent Christmas lunch.
When he's off-screen, the 52 year old culinary maestro keeps his residence under wraps but stays not far from his dining spot, The Kitchen at Chewton Glen in Hampshire.
He's also at the helm of James Martin Manchester and presides over James Martin at The Lygon Arms in the Cotswolds. With the countdown to Christmas underway, the Yorkshire-born gastronome is eyeing a quick trip to his closest restaurant before darting home to delight his family with his cooking — his passion for cuisine pulsates through his life. I’m in the restaurant for part of it, I usually go and see the chefs, wish them a happy Christmas, and try to do a few covers before disappearing to cook it myself — a double whammy," he tells us.
