James Martin said one guest won't be invited back to his Saturday Morning show, following a blunder made by a top chef. The presenter cheekily chided chef Glynn Purnell on the latest instalment of the ITV show's cooking segment saying it's the "first and last time".

The Michelin star cook was roasted by the TV chef for misplacing several pieces of cutlery during his on screen debut. The culinary star, who runs his Cornwall Street Eatery in Birmingham was joined by culinary colleagues Asma Khan and Kenny Atkinson as well as Loose Women's Linda Robson.

It was during a demonstration of a surf and turf recipe, Purnell endured a humorous utensil mishap. In the midst of preparing the dish, Glynn was perplexed by the absence of spoons for tasting.

Even with James Martin joining the hunt, the elusive spoon remained at large, Birmingham Live reports. The situation took a more comical turn when Glynn, known for his stints on My Kitchen Rules and as a judge on Channel 4's Come Dine With Me - Champion of Champions, discovered a spoon simmering away in the sauce."I've lost a spoon in there chef but I'm sure we'll dig it out eventually," he quipped, adding: "That one's gone in there again chef, want to grab that one out for me."Laughter ensued as James playfully pondered if this would be Glynn's final showing on the programme.
