Actor James Hampton has died at the age of 84. The American star - who played Michael J. Fox's dad in Teen Wolf - died on Wednesday after suffering complications from Parkinson’s disease, his family have told.
In his final years, he mentored drama students in his hometown of Forth Worth in Texas and devoted himself to charity work, according to a family statement. "It came as no surprise that James continued to receive fan mail from all over the world almost weekly," the family told.
James had an impressive on-screen CV which began in the 70s when he starred as Caretaker in The Longest Yard. He then went on to be cast in F Troop as Private Dobbs.
