James Gandolfini's widow Deborah Lin revealed it was "surreal" to see his son Michael playing a young Tony Soprano in The Many Saints of Newark.

The prequel movie to The Sopranos is being released later this year, with the 22-year-old son of the late actor appearing as the young version of the legendary character.

A trailer to the film was released in early July, and Deborah - Michael's step-mum - said it must have taken a lot of "courage" for the actor to play such a personal role.

Speaking to The Post, the 53-year-old explained: "It was almost surreal to see Michael in the trailer. "I know it took a lot of courage for him to take this role.
