James Charles has been dubbed ‘the new Simon Cowell’ as he premiered his competition show Instant Influencer. Teaming up with Paris Hilton and Anastasia Beverly Hills president Norvina, the YouTuber chose six budding influencers, out of the thousands that applied, mentoring them in the ways of being a beauty guru.
The new show sees the makeup artists battling it out for an epic camera and light set-up worth $10,000 (£8,000), an all-important collaboration with James to kickstart their careers, and a cash prize of $50,000 (£40,000) In the first episode, the six contestants battled it out right from the start for as they were told to arrive in a look that summed them up as an artist – so no pressure then.
