James Blunt has promised he will never release any more music if he beats Adele to the number one spot on the album charts. The pair have both released new music this week, James with his new album The Stars Beneath My Feet, while Adele released her long-awaited album 30.James, 47, took to Twitter to issue a challenge to his followers, telling them: ‘I do solemnly swear that if my new album (out tomorrow) goes to Number 1, I will never write, record or sing another song for as long as I shall live.’While that might be a pretty extreme length to go to, one person that would not be complaining about no more James Blunt music is the neighbour of a homeowner who was fined £1,400 for playing his songs all night.
