Lewis Capaldi (born 7 October 1996) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He was nominated for the Critics' Choice Award at the 2019 Brit Awards. In March 2019, his single "Someone You Loved" topped the UK Singles Chart where it remained for seven weeks, and in October 2019 it reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. On 17 May 2019 he released his debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which remained at the top of the UK Albums Chart for six weeks.

AFTER LEWIS CAPALDI provided JAMES ARTHUR’s latest tune you’d have thought they would be the best of friends – but fans are seeing things a different way.

Over the years former X Factor champ James has made a number of catty comments about Lewis. And earlier this summer fans accused him of penning a diss track about the Scot, despite James saying the song wasn’t about anyone in particular.

In the freestyle tune, he sang: “Someone else is taking credit even though I’m the original. I’m the one that said it. I get it, I’m no marketing machine but can he just steal my voice and the American dream? “Bro, you should pay homage if you want to take from me.
