The cause of death for Jamal Edwards has been revealed in an inquest today following his death on 20 February.The 31 year old SBTV founder was confirmed to have died of cardiac arrest after ingesting a lethal mixture of cocaine and alcohol.
Jamal was a pioneer in the UK music industry and well-respected by his peers after creating the groundbreaking music platform SBTV.
He was found dead at his home in Acton, West London. Jamal's mum, Loose Women star Brenda Edwards, called her late son "a beautiful and selfless person" in a statement shared in the inquest.
Jamal was found with three small bags containing remnants of white powder at the time of his death in February. Assistant West London Coroner Ivor Collett ruled that the star died from a heart attack triggered by the evident drug use, as toxicology reports found cocaine and alcohol in Jamal's system.The police treated his death as non-suspicious.
